Honorable juries ladies and gentlemen sisters and brothers

First of all lets praise to the almighty Allah SWT because of his blessing we are able to attend this english speech contest. Secondly may peace be upon the prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided us from the darkness into the brighness. I would also like to say many thanks to the juries and master of ceremony who have given me chance to deliver an english speech in front of you all.

Here, I would like to talk about “the decreasing nationalism in young generation”

Ladies and gentlemen

Nationalism. What is the meaning of nationalism? Nationalism come from 2 syllable that is national which is mean nationality and ism which is mean education. So the meaning of nationalism is education about nationality. Than the broader meanings of nationalism are :

1.      Love to the fatherland. And someone who love their fatherland will always sacrifice for their fatherland, their nation, and their country.

2.      Self realization as a resident of a country. So that they will majoring their fatherland, their nation, and their country.

Ladies and gentlemen

If we conclude that natonalism is a love to the Fatherland so it relate with our country Indonesia. We must proud cause we live in a country which is really rich, has fertile land, strategic, we know from sabang till merauke the are many land in a row. Binneka tunggal Ika is a sign that make a whole many kind of cultural and tribe. If we proud it will appear ‘love’ to the fatherland. And then the question is, have we loved our country?

Ladies and gentlemen

Nowadays Indonesia facing many problems such as : there are many corruption cases, unemployment, oppression to the Indonesia labour or woman labour, and the most scary is the decreasing of nationalism. Especially in students circles. On Longer time, many students come far from the citizent’s wishes and identity. There are also many problems happen to the students In Indonesia such as : moral transition, attitudes, decreasing spirit to study, fight of students, etc.

Ladies and gentlemen

There are causes of decreasing nationalism of young generation. For example western life style, favorite music group concert. So when there was a students who bring topic about nationalism many people will say that ‘nationalism’ is an old topic. then other cause is when there was a students who should think about their family’s life, because of economy pressure. And the most scary when history lesson, Pancasila and citizents lesson became a lesson which is not too important compared National exam lesson. From this fact, please you imagine How nationalism can be formed?

Ladies and gentlemen

Now, the question is how to grow nationalism to the young generation?

I think as easy as pie. We start from a little actions.

1.      We join flag ceremony every Monday. Because of it, we can feel the warriors struggle with Indonesia Raya song.

2.      We wear Indonesia product such as batik

3.      Join to take care of public facilities

4.      Save and practice our culture through art especially traditional art.

I think thats all my speech. Hopefully it will be usefull for all of us. Remember! If we are not loving our fatherland then whom again? So ...

Now, I wanna talk about “Harsh Punishment should be applied to students who cheat during a test or an examination”

Ladies and gentlemen

When we talk about test or examination so it relate with the passing grade of values which we want to get. How did we get the passing grade of values? Ask our selves, “did we get it by act in good faith or in bad faith?” but it is a destruction If we got it by act in bad faith. It mean we do a bad action that’s cheating. Have you ever cheat?

Dear My sisters and brothers

One word that’s cheating. May be thats simple word, but it will affect all side of our life. For example : please, you imagine If you do a test by cheating for passing he test. You will get a certificate, by the certificate you will get a job, by the job you will get a salary, by the salary you will give foods for your family and your self. Remember, how did you get the certificate? By cheating!. It means you have stolen something that it was a source of your life, and your family. Wow so embrassed!

Dear audiences

What are causes of cheating? Back to first I have said “trust our selves”. Try to enter the students life. As a students, of course they will have an exam or a test. We know that the regulation when the students do a test is ‘no cheating’ but some of them are disregarding the regulation. Can you imagine it? Thats really bad! Here, we can conclude that cheating is like a monster. So to avoid this incident, Teachers must have harsh punishment so that all the students will accept their real mark. And the question is what punishment is it? The punishment not only for the studnets physic. The teachers can give punishment which make them realize and its useful for the students. Here some example       :

-          Ask for the students come out from the class a moment

-          Give the students to do more tasks

-          Cancel the test for them and give a new test etc.

Ladies and gentlemen

In the end of my speech, remember, we have a responsibility, a responsibility to make our parents proud of us. And it will make our succesfull in the future. Come on, we start from a little action thats ‘honest’ I think thats all my speech hopefully it will be usefull for all of us. Thank you very much for your attention.

Assalamu a’laikum Wr. Wb

Pertama-tama marilah kita panjatkan puji syukur atas kehadirat Allah SWT berkat rahmaat dan hidayahnya kita bisa berkumpul disini dalam keadan sehat wal’afiat. Kedua kalinya sholawat serta salam tak lupa kita haturkan kepada junjungan kita nabiyullah Muhammad SAW yang telah menuntun kita dari zaman yang gelap gulita menuju zaman yang terang benderang. Disini saya akan berbicara tentang “Wanita Indonesia memimpin dunia”.

Hadirin yang saya hormati

Membicarakan perempuan Indonesia biasanya identik dengan Raden Ajeng Kartini yang memperjuangkan hak perempuan Indonesia terutama untuk mendapatkan akses pendidikaan. Istilah “emansipasi” yang beliau perkenalkan lebih dari seratus tahun yang lalu masih kental di pikiran masyarakan Indonesia sampai sekarang. Jika perempuan Indonesia pada zaman dahulu dan zaman sekarang masih diabaikan hak mereka untuk mendapatkan pendidikan seperti yang berlaku sebelum era kartini. Bisa di bayangkan Indonesia tidak akan semaju sekarang. Pendidikan memang sngat penting bagi perkembangan negara dan perempuan serta laki-laki memainkan peranan penting di dalamnya. Jika permpuan diabaikan haknya untuk mendaat pendidikan, sudah pasti mereka tidak bisa bahu-membahu dengan laki-laki untuk memajukan ekonomi, sosial, dan politik Indnesia. Yang paling penting, dengan pendidikan yang sesuai dan setara, perempuan Indonesia juga bisa mengharumkan Indonesia di mata dunia. Apa modal seorang wanita untuk bisa mengubah hidup sekitarnya menjadi lebih baik? Tentu saja diperlukan kesempatan, motivasi, dan dukungan sehingga mereka bisa memanfaatkan sebuah peluang demi mewujudkan cita-cita mulia.

Hadirin yang bahagia

Sudah banyak perempuan Indonesia yang mengharumkan nama Indonesia di dunia terutama di bidang pendidikan. Sebut saja Sidrotun Naim. Pelajar tingkat PhD di bidnag sain lingkungan ini pada bulan Maret telah dinobatkan sebagai salah satu penerima penghargaan “the 2012 L’Oreal-UNESCO International Fellows”. Wanita solo ini merupakan seorang daripada 15 anita didunia yang menerima penghargaan tersebut. Penelitian beliau di bidang molecular virology bertujuan untuk menginvestasi dan mengubah struktur dan fungsi genetik IMNV, virus baru di Indonesia yang dapat membunuh hampir 70% populasi udang. Tentu saja hasil penelitian mahasiswa University of Arizona ini akan memberi impak besar bagi perkembangan ekonomi Indonesia terutama dibidang peternakan udang. Yang paling penting, Indonesia bkala mempunyai ahli patologi perempuan bertaraf Internasional untuk pertama kalinya. Selain sidrotun Naim, yang paling baru, pada tanggal 12 april 2012 yang lalu, mantan menteri keuangan Indonesia yang sekarang menjabat sebagai Managing director di bank dunia, Dr. Sri Mulyani telah menerima penghargaan Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth International Alumni Award dari university of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Beliau menerima penghargaan tersebut bagi kategori Exceptional Achievement atas prestasi menonjol beliau secara profesional ditingkat nasional dan internasional. Antara usaha besar beliau ialah penerapan reformasi keuangan, pemberantasan korupsi di kementrian yang dipimpinnya suatu ketika dahulu, dan peningkatan foreign direct investment di Indonesia. Sangat disayangkan orang seperti beliau tidak lagi diperlukan jasanya si negara sendiri, tetapi saya yakin beliau akan terus mengharumkan nama Indonesia di mata dunia. Disamping itu Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang pernah dipimpin oleh presiden wanita yakni ibu Megawati Soekarno Putri sednagkan Amerika yang terkenal dengan emansipasi yang sangat tinggi tidak pernah dipimpin oleh presiden wanita.

Hadirin yang saya hormati

Masih banyak lagi perempuan Indonesia yang berprestasi dan mengharumkan nama Indonesia mata dunia. Jika dibahas satu per satu disini, maka akan membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama. Ini karena perempuan Indoneia yang berprestasi ditingkat dunia jumlahnya mungkin ribuan bahkan jtaan. Dan jumlah ini akan semakin bertambah jika kita, pelajar perempuan Indonesia bisa segera mengkuti jejak para perempuan brilian yang saya sebutkan dengan mengukir prestasi, berdasarkan cara dan bidang masing-masing. Dari sini kita dapat menyimpulkan kekuatan seorang wanita nyatanya idak hanya dapat mengubah kehidupan keluarganya, melainkan bisa juga mengubah sebuah bangsa atau bahkan dunia. Kita adalah generasi selanjutnya dari wanita yang luar biasa seperti : Sidrotun naim, dan Ibu Sri Mulyani. Maka jangan menyesal menjadi seorang wanita karena wanita juga berhak memimpin dunia!
